What is TRT?

Testosterone Replacement Therapy or TRT the term used when bioidentical (the same as the body normally produces) testosterone is administered into the body to help restore testosterone back to normal physiological levels. TRT is used to treat symptoms of low testosterone. TRT is carefully monitored with regular blood tests to make sure that a balance is achieved with other hormones.

What are the symptoms of low testosterone?

The unfortunate fact of ageing is the sad truth that as men age their testosterone decline. As a result, men start to experience the symptoms of testosterone deficiency. This has been called the ‘male menopause’ or the andropause.

Some men develop depression, loss of sex drive, erectile dysfunction, and other physical and emotional symptoms when they reach their late 40s to early 50s. In some cases, some men’s testosterone levels under optimised and they may begin to see these symptoms earlier.

Other symptoms common in men this age are:

Irritability
Increased levels of body fat
Decreased muscle mass
Brain fog, difficulty concentrating
Height loss
Loss of confidence
Insomnia
Sleep apnea
Sleep apnea
Diabetes
Low Libido (low sex drive)
Fatigue
Depression
Anxiety

Do you have any of these symptoms?

Take the ADAM Questionnaire, a screening tool for hypogonadism. A positive questionnaire result is defined as a “yes” answer to questions 1 or 7 or any 3 other questions. Our recommendation is to immediately book a free consultation with one of our specialists.
